Pankaj Agrawal was born in 1952 in Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
A photographer and painter, his work has been included in
group exhibitions at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal; the Nehru
Centre, Mumbai and the International Salon of Photography.
His paintings and drawings have been exhibited widely
throughout India.
Pankaj paints in style that is closer to impressionist
school where the intricate interplay of colours accentuates
the shades of light. Pankaj is an artist of nature and he
looks at nature for the subject of his works. He create s a
harmonic blend between the aging beauty of historical sites
and the element of nature that have blanketed them in close
concert, creating a mystical and mythical mix of earthly and
divine.
The beauty of the object as revealed by the bouncing rays of
light or those that highlight the translucency of them,
enamour him. Thus his works portray various elements of
nature, including landscapes through changing tonal values
of colour, creating a perspective through changing shades.
He lives and works in Indore.
